seems like it works sometimes when speed is set to 100 if it is set to a 1000 SPeed Oeprator turns grey and must be deleted and reinserted. Also if speed is set to over 100 let's say a 1000 particles do not travel faster and stay at the same speed as 100. So really you can only see speed difference between 1 - 100 . is this a bug. What if I need to make my particles travel very far and very fast. Thanks
here is another image Speed 50 and 1000 no difference Attached Files:
Thank you, I will investigate this once I'm back next week. Do you mind uploading the scene or sending it to me (marsel.khadiyev (at) ephere.com)? Would be quicker to reproduce that way. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
Here is the file it is strange one time pflow speed worked. Then I reseted max and now it does not work. Also when it worked after I change particle radius above 0 speed in pflow quit working again Also copying PFLOW icon to create 2 water hose effects crashes max I use 2015 max Thank you
Your file worked fine here. If I turn off the speed operator, the particles just drop down. If it is on, they are ejected forward from the emitter. If you want to have multiple emitters you need to create them within the same PF source, please see here: https://www.ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/lucid/docs/1/Particle_Flow_Fluid_Operator.html#Multiple-fluid-operators Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
Sorry to necro an old thread but i am also having this issue. Speed values over 100 do not increase the speed. Was there ever a fix for this? P.S. Im on 3ds max 2014.
Please have a look inside Flex Settings helper, there is an Automatic Velocity parameter there. It limits speed to ensure particle stability. You can toggle that off and increase the max. velocity value manually. Hope it helps. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
