Problem

Description:

When tearing is on, baking slightly complex (with some elements inside) cloth object drops baked frames, recorder drops every second or only every third frame of simulation. Effect becomes jaggy and unacceptable. When tearing is set to 0,0 problem is gone.

Steps to Reproduce:

Create a more complex cloth object (like 100.000 tris) with some elements in it (not a sphere, but some more spheres joined together as elements of the whole object). Make a tearing value above 0,4 or 0,1. Run the sim - it looks okay. Now try to record it via "R" icon. During recording looks okay. After 30 frames, break recording by clicking "R" icon again. Now slide time slider frame-by-frame and check if there are duplicated (non-moving) frames each two or more frames. I can provide a scene where I have the problem - if required.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for quick reply. I've send you a file via wetransfer. Don't worry about bitmaps or missing plugins. Should be no problem. If not, please inform me here.

Thanks for fixing it in the recent nightly build! Amazing support.

Hi Norman,

Good to see everything is working fine by now. Just for the record, this bug has been fixed in Lucid (1.4.0.11234 [Nightly]) and above.
