Hello,
I installed the beta on my work computer but I would like to try it on my home computer but I get "All your licenses are assigned to other computers"

How do I move the install to my home computer?

Thank you.

Hello,

Please try again, I increased your beta license count.

Do you get any error messages during installation? Please also try the "Install license server only" link on the downloads page.

Thank you
I did not get any error message during installation; it just hangs there.
I will try tonight the "Install license server only" link

The Install license server only also appears to hang; no dialog pups up and the active window on windows explorer becomes unresponsive :(

Ok
I think I was running the installer as admin maybe that was the problem; I installed the license now.

Thanks.

What happens if you press "Assign license"?

message is :

"please, try again,

Please wait, licensing in progess...

Downloaded license server was corrupt.

Please try again"

and again :-)

I also have a question related to the license.

I would like to install the license server so I could open lucid on one of two different machines - each have different video cards and other hardware.
I clicked the "All 1 licenses" link (in attached picture) and The Ephere Product licensing app was downloaded (233kb).

Is the following correct?

1) Open the License app on the license server machine

2) press "License This Computer"

3) Close the LIcense App

4) Go to another PC and open the License App

5) Enter the IP of the original license server machine and hit "connect"

Just wanted to check incase that's not correct.

Hi Michael,

Correct up two step 3. After pressing "License This Computer" if all goes well the app should close itself. Then on another computer you just need to run Lucid and when presented with an "enter up" dialog inside Max enter the IP of the machine where you installed the license server.

Thnaks Marsel,

This was straightforward and worked perfectly with Max 2016.

I noticed that the License is only checked if a user tries to open the Lucid Flex Settings.
Does this mean users will be able to network render lucid "for free", or will they need to purchase a render license?

I hope it will be possible to render for free using a lucid license (similar to how Bones Pro has a "Proxy" version or 3ds max has free network rendering licenses.

This would save users the trouble of having to cache some more simple sims just to render them.
