Hi,

finally got Lucid installed, and finding Rigid Bodies to sim incredibly slowly, not sure why they should be so slow compared to fluids, cloth etc.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Try displaying them as particles. I bet the particle size is too small in your config and you just have a lot of them generated for your solid.

Hi,

it helps - although 'show as particles' doesn't do anything in the viewport.

Still a bit weird though - changing the resolution to 6, and the boxes float slightly above the collision object - any higher than that and the objects start floating off horizontally.

Seems very sensitive to spacing, one wrong value and it's likely to seize.

Will have to digest the help files.

Cheers

Steve

Can we get resolution per object. Seems like if i want rigid body to interact with liquid it is very slow but if i reduce the resolution to speed up rigid body then liquid particles are too big Thanks

Since the particle radius is a global value so is resolution. It really depends on the first object it encounters and uses the size of that object to compute the particle radius. If the object will be very small the particles will also be very small, if it is large it will be opposite. In case as yours it is probably better to set manual particle radius in global flex settings.
