Hello !

So i'm trying to achieve "strong" clothes, like heavy leather or snowboard heavy jacket ect ...

Cloth system seems to work well but i can't get "semi-rigid" cloth.

It's always too "curve" like silk, i try to get better results for 3 days but no way i can get a "semi-rigid" cloth.

Also there's a big lack of information in the doc.

I play with settings and try to understand exactly how it works but changing settings seems no to change a lot to the simulation.

I think artist need to see example of differentes values and what it does exactly.

For playing with stretch, bend, siftness ect ect i can't tell what is doing what ...

Very frustrating ...

Hope's someone can help !

Hi Kwen,

Have you tried increasing number of substeps and iterations in the simulation as well as changing the cloth rigidity parameters?

Hi marsel,   Thanks for your reactivity.

I'm on a commercial/confidential project and i must do 3D cloth for a brandmark.

I play a lot with all settings but it's like searching the door in a black room.

The cloth simulation works but i can't achieve what i need.

All my cloth looks like silk pyjamas.

The best i get is in this picture, but still don't look like hard cloth.

Did you try adjusting the substeps as I suggested? Perhaps you can replicate the scene and send it to me and I can see if I can create more rigid results for you?

Hello Marsel ,

Yes i tried to change substeps settings (i try a lot of thing).

Lucid works very fine but i just can't get what i need (strong heavy jacket), there's something i'm missing or not understanding.

It would be very cool of you to have an eye on my file.

I put it with this message (had to cut some part of the human/collision model because it's commercial model and i can't distribute it freely).

I hope you'll get the result i need ^^ and i'm impatient to see your settings.

Whatever, thanks ...
