Hi there, I am not that well know with particles and Lucid yet. But I am eager to learn! So I need some help with the following issue. My client would like to see for a still, water comming out of a rain shower and splashing on the floor. How can I achive this? Cheers Johan |
After diving into the you tube channel, I came up with something. Not sure if I am on the right track I have some sort of setup which feels right. Once I try recording Max (2016) is crashing. edit: added file and screenshot
Looks like a good start in the scene. Alternatively you can also try using the Lucid PF geometry operator if you want water to come out in bigger clumps. I opened your scene and recorded it without any problems. Are you still having the crash in the latest version of Lucid? Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
Hi Marsel I still have problems, even with opening the scene. Even if I try to open your "Rain" scene, Max is crashing. I have version 1.0.6.6685 installed and have a K4000 as graphic card. By digging further into the tutorials I figuerd out about Lucid PF geometry. Due to the deadline, I managed to get a descent result with PF. But will contonue polyshing my Lucid skills. regards Johan
Hi Johan, I can open the scene without any problems. Did you make further modifications in it? If yes can you please send it to me, the one that crashes? I would like to investigate it further. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
Here you are, both files causes Max to crash cheers Johan
Very strange, both these files open and simulate OK here. At which point does the crash happen? Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
With both files, during "loading..."
Yup, can now confirm the crash in a release build. Investigating... Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
Please try it with the last nightly build, I cannot reproduce the problem there: https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/lucid/1.1.0.6.6823_win64_343520302031.msi Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
Hi %arsel I can confirm that both files do not crash anymore. And they both record fine! Tanks Johan
