I have a pretty complex simulation I've been working on that has a large cloth surface and multiple ropes attached to it and each other. It's a deployable mesh satellite reflector.
Imagine you have an umbrella you want to unfold. You have the shape of the umbrella when it's open but you want to simulate it opening from being closed. I simulating it backwards first, going from open to closed. I tghen plan on saving the initial state and then reversing the animation and simulate it opening. The problem is I'm starting from the final shape. Gravity has already been applied to the cloth an ropes causing any deformations.
I don't think there's a soilution but is there anyway to tell Lucid that cloth and ropes are at their 'settled' state when the simulation begins?
