Title:Preserve Animation on Cloth

Description:

It would be nice to be able to select specific vertices of the mesh and have those retain any existing animation under the lucid modifier.

For instance, A skinned skirt for an animated character. Have the top band vertices selected to preserve the skinned animation and simulate the rest of the cloth vertices.

Right now it works for linking to objects but what if my mesh needs to deform to the character through skin?

Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks Marsel.

Would something like the folowing scenario work?

I have a volume select with an animated  gradient ramp map selecting verts across a plane.

As the gradient animates from white to black , those verts are released. Would the lucid modifier be able to support updating preserved vertices?

Yes, this is exactly the test I added for this feature :)

Very cool indeed! Laughing
