Description:

Is there any possibility of having animatable body types to be controlled via maps in the future?

At the moment it's a step key to change states, and it's a great feature to have, but being able to trigger states via a map or gizmo would be amazing.

Thanks,

Steve

You mean to have half a mesh as fluid and half as cloth, for example? How would that work?

Well if you wanted something to slowly dissolve, moving from a solid or rubber state to liquid.

More between solid and liquid rather than cloth.

So objects could melt, pour away and congeal for example.

I think for this you can start out as a solid, then switch to liquid with high viscosity (in flex settings helper) and then animate viscosity going down over time.

That's interesting, thanks - think it could still be useful to be able to map the viscosity in this case though, if possible, rather than just be a global setting.

Cheers

Steve

Unfortunately in Flex it is a global parameter so we cannot have it specific to an object at the moment.

Hi,

thanks - oh well, worth asking :)
