Problem

Description:

Hi, since the last 2 days I have been getting a licencing error, see attached. I haven't renamed any files. I re-downloaded Ornatrix-3dsmax-6-1-0-18303-win64_342032302032323033.msi, uninstalled Ornatrix, re-installed Ornatrix - but still get the same error. Please advise.

Hi Theo,

Please reset your license (ephere.com/licenses.html) and then reinstall the license server manually from the downloads page: https://ephere.com/docs/Installing_a_Floating_License_Server.html

I did the above and got the Kaspersky notice and just rebooted. Open 3ds Max, started Ornatrix and every few seconds I get:

"Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?
Ephere.Licencing.LicenceServer.exe"

and I still get the previously attached notice "Ephere Product Licencing..."

Anti-virus could be blocking the connection to the license server. Is it possible to try to temporarily turn it off? Please also check what the LSM app is showing: https://ephere.com/docs/License_Server_Manager.html

I downloaded Ephere.Licencing.LicenceServer.exe", I disconnected my internet, turned off Kaspersky, installed InstallLicense.342032302032323033.1.exe, installed Ephere.Licensing.LicenseServer.Manager.exe
The problem is still the same.

Without a connection to our site, InstallLicense.exe cannot download and install the license server, it just prints an URL that you have to download at another computer with Internet connection, then execute the downloaded file. Did you do that?

The Manager cannot connect to the license server, so it is either not running or not even installed. You can check that you have "Ephere License Server" in your Services, with Running status and Automatic startup.

Thanks, Ivan, appears to be working now.
