Description: | I'm just trying to use the Ornatrix hair that can be controled by spline of 3ds Max. 3ds Max 2017. Lastest Ornatrix : Version 6.2.4.20580 All the Ornatrix hair moves wrong position whenever I add OX Ground strands, no matter I disable the 'Roots Detached' option as I saw on your tutorial.
Older Ornatrix : Version 5.2.9.14704 Looks better but, when I go back to Line stack, the original line goes wrong position. So, I still can't control the line.
Am I missing something? I can send the Max file, if it required. |
Steps to Reproduce: | 3ds Max 2017. Lastest Ornatrix : Version 6.2.4.20580
1. Create Spline . 2. Add 'OX Guides from Shape'. 3. Add 'Ox Ground Strands' (It moves to wrong place, no matter I click the 'Roots Detached' or not.) 4. Add 'Ox Hair from guides' (It creates hair anyway, but it is not right place what I wanted.) Modify Stack : Line -> Ox Guides from Shape -> Ox Ground strands -> Ox Hair from Guides |

Probably the splines and the distribution mesh need to be setup properly before using Ground Strands. Sounds like something related to the transforms. Please see the following video to see how to properly setup the splines and the distribution mesh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BX0WXHROxk Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)

Hello Jeordanis Figuereo, Thank you for your quick response and the right tutorial. It works now! I appreciate it. However, I have another question. I want to use this Ox Guides from Shape - Ox Ground Strands - Ox Mesh From Strands (Custom User Proxy-Mesh). But, I noticed some of the proxy-mesh is thinner or flipped where the spline bend a lot. Could you tell me some advise for this?
