The error in the .log file that you uploaded was fixed in revision 29630, i.e. it is included in stable 7.3.3. I just tried adding hair to a sphere with wireframe viewports (and by default the ortographic viewports are wireframe, so if you work in 4 views you always have some wireframe), selected it, there's no crash. Could you upload a .log and .dmp again with 7.3.3 ? Ivan Kolev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) E-mail: ivan.kolev at ephere dot com Discord: ikolev

Please try changing the hair display to "Lines" or "Mesh" and see if that makes a difference: https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/ornatrix/docs/7/Hair_and_Guide_Viewport_Display.html My suspicion is that this is a display-related issue. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)

Thanks for the reply. I tried changing the hair display to "line" or "mesh", but both gave me errors. I will upload the logs for each, please check them. If the crash only happens with a specific scene, not with newly created hair, then we'll need that scene to reproduce the crash. If possible, please strip the scene of anything not related to the crash, zip it, and attach it here if it's not too big or e-mail it to ivan.kolev at ephere com Ivan Kolev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) Thank you for the provided scene. The bug should be fixed in the next nightly build, revision number 29866 or later. Ivan Kolev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) E-mail: ivan.kolev at ephere dot com Discord: ikolev |
