Problem

Description:

Hi,

My understanding is that to correctly get the desired amount of clumping you need to enable the full resolution of the fur in the viewport, generate your clumps. and then you can drop the viewport count back to something manageable.

This seems to work, however, when I drop the viewport count down to something manageable and click on the clump modifier or any other other modifier higher in the stack, like frizz, things are terribly slow like the full hair count is still being displayed/computed.

I have a stripped down file I'm willing to share privately.  In this file I  upped my viewport display to 100%,  did my clumping, dropped the viewport display down to something  manageable, added a frizz, tweaked some settings there, and now it just hangs at render time "transforming vertices"

I'm in the middle of a production, so any help much appreciated.

This is in 3dsmax 2024, using the latest Ornatrix build.c
