Problem

Description:

I setup a simple scene by adding a sphere and then added ornatrix hair to the selection. There are three modifiers, OX Guide from Surface, OX Edit Guides, OX Hair From Guides. The sphere is 5 cm. I adjust guide length under OX Guide from Surface. Then I go to OX Edit Guides, select brush, then Comb Brush. As soon as I try to brush the hair, Max 2014 (64 bit) crashes. There are no error messages. Max simply closes. I am running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit and using a Quadro K4000. I have 24Gb Ram.

I'm having the same problem.

I downloaded the demo version and I evaluated all of the features in Max 2014 and everything worked very well, well enough to persuade me to buy a license, but after installing the official version yesterday nothing works.  I try to brush the guides, the guides start to flash in a strange way and then it crashes.  If I try to add a Surface Comb modifier it crashes.  Basically it's unusable in Max 2014.  I did install it on Max 2013 as well with the same installer, and that works flawlessly.

I'm runninng on Windows 8 Pro.

Hello,

I also confirmed it works fine on 3DS Max 2013 on the same machine. It crashes as described above when running 3DS Max 2014 (both 64 bit).
