Description: | Hi For the last four days I have been unable to assign Ornatrix to render in Mental Ray. I have tried everything stated in the document and checked all OrnaMR files and entries in the .mi file are correct and present in the correct 3DS Max folders. I have tried every shader available and even tried assigning external 3rd party shaders like P HairTK. I have followed your description to the letter on the documentation by placing the MRHair primitive in the scene and then assigning the hair as the source for Mental Ray to see the Ornatrix Hair in the scene. But still no luck The only way I have managed to see hair on the end of my Mental Ray renders as an effect not as part of it directly is by assiging OX Hair Draw effect which is not mental ray rendering the hair directly. I keep getting a render error message on Mental Ray everytime I try to render with Mental Ray that states "Ox Geo Hair not found". I am at a loss what to try next. My system specs are 3DS Max 2015 and Windows 8.1 I have also tried Ornatrix v2.5.7.0, Ornatrix v2.5.8.0 and the latest version of Ornatrix V3. All these versions of Ornatrix provide the same result of the render error message stating "Ox Geo Hair not found". Please help, I am unsure what to do next or where to look for a possible solution? Please also advise how to set up Ornatrix to render in Mental Ray including which shader to use? regards Brendan Hobbs |
