Summary

How was the hair in these images set up. I have a similar requirement but the hair does not conform to the splines. I have watched all the ornatrix videos and looked through the documentation and nothing seems to cover this.

I have a simpe hair cap and simple spline the same as the images but it never works. the hairs generated just splay out a lot.  have tried breaking the hair cap apart and material ID's.

Is there any good breakdown of how to groom long hair from simple splines only with no edit guides(they cause too many problems) like is shown in the images.
