Problem

Description:

Might be just me doing something wrong:) I brought into Max curves from maya, attached them to single nurbs curve, added Guides from Shape mod, Ox ground strands on top of it, and selected the head as base surface. If I try and add edit guides on top of it, i can't comb them, only select them, if I add OX Hair from Guides only the Guides as Hair distribution works. I tried adding on top of it Guides from hair, in hope that it might do the trick but it didn't work.

Ideas?

Steps to Reproduce:

Hi Dima,

"If I try and add edit guides on top of it"

If been trying and it works for me as you can see in the gif below, I imported the guides from Maya using File-Send to Max-Update Current Scene. Try using "Reset XForm" on the guides in Max.

"if I add OX Hair from Guides only the Guides as Hair distribution works"

You have to turn OFF "Roots Detached" in OxGroundStrands. If the roots are detached from the surface Ox will not grow the hair on the distribution mesh, the guides will be used as hair instead without any interpolation.

Let me know if you have more questions.
