Hello,

Can you please give me more details? What render engine are you using, Ornatrix version and 3ds Max version. Also, would be even better if you can share your scene for testing, if possible.

3ds max 2017, ornatrix latest 6.0.12.16336 , vray 3.60.04 . No particular scene, a sphere for example, propagation fine in viewport but while render it ''explodes''

Hi,

I just tried and it seems to be working fine. I´m using Ox 6.0.11.16160. See image below:

But there is one thing you have to have in mind. Remember that in viewport you are seeing the viewport fraction, not all the hair is being shown unless you say Ornatrix to do so. So, maybe in this case you see different results in viewport and render because you have a different count for viewport and another hair count for rendering, which is usually the case.

For example, in the following image I´m using just a few hairs in viewport and a lot more hairs in the render. This setup also affect the propagation modifier:
