The installation of Ornatrix 6 is rolling back in the middle.
Uninstallation of Ornatrix 5 will also rolling back.

I attached the Ornatrix 6 installation log.

Is there a solution?

Sorry, the attachment is here.

Hello,

Thank you for the log file, I will pass this to the team.

Is there any information?

Sorry, I didn't know the .log file that Jeordanis passed to me was from this forum thread, I would have answered here.

You have a previous Ornatrix installed.
The new installer tries to uninstall the old version, which fails because it cannot remove the toolbar from

C:\Users\toru2\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2016 - 64bit\enu\en-US\UI\Workspaces\Workspace1.cuix

because the file is locked, maybe because Max 2016 is currently running (or has crashed).

Before that there's a warning that the installer couldn't close all applications it wanted to.

I suggest you reboot the machine and try first to uninstall the old Ornatrix from Windows.

Also, make sure you can write to the file C:\Users\toru2\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2016 - 64bit\enu\en-US\UI\Workspaces\Workspace1.cuix.

again

Uninstallation succeeded by deleting "\Autodesk\3dsMax\2016 - 64bit\" folder.

However, it can not be installed. (Roll back in the middle)
My customer is a Windows 7 environment.
3dsMax.exe not found in task list. The same is true immediately after OS startup.

Is there a way to do it manually?

Yes, the plugin can also be installed from the .7z archive that we provide on the Downloads page, it includes a Readme.txt file with instructions.

But I wonder why the installer won't work if the previous Ornatrix version was uninstalled successfully.

You say that 3dsMax.exe was not found, but in the Install.log I can see that 3dsMax 2016 and 2017 were found in C:\Program Files\Autodesk.

And even if some 3dsMax version is not found, the installer offers to install the Ornatrix files for it anyway, it is just disabled by default.

Can the user provide an Install.log file for the new installation failure?

I'm sorry. "3dsMax.exe not found" means that there is no 3dsMax running on the task manager.

Have the customer try the 7zip installation.

thank you
