Hi, after struggling with color vertex painting, brushing guides with ox edit tool, etc, I was thinking about using a color texture to comb hairs (or guides),
I was thinking to paint it under Phototshop, and then load it somewhere on Ornatrix modifier -First: is it possible ? - Does the texture has to be in 8 bits, 16 bits, 32 bits ? - I can't find where or on what modifier I have to load the texture. I did a lot of tests with OX SURFCAE COMB but nothing happens.
Thanks a lot for any help Cheers Kelton

Hi Kelton, Do you want to use a color texture to comb the guides? This is not possible with Ornatrix. Please describe the issue that you are having with the Surface Comb modifier and Edit Guides. With Surface Comb you comb the hair using sinks to drive the hair tips in certain direction. Find the documentation here. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) | |

Hello, thank you so much for your answer (at least i don't have to look furthermore). Actually, i tested the many different methods offered by ORNATRIX to bend / comb hairs. I also tested Sinks. Then I remembered VRAY FUR (that i used a few years ago) which was using colormap data to comb and directionnal comb hairs (it's like a normal map). I was wondering if OX SURFACE COMB modifier offered the same possibility. But eventually SINKS and brushing hairs with your tools seems the best option. Thank you.
Cheers
