Hello,
I have a pretty basic question but I was able to find any information for it.
I'm working on hair that are suppose to be oily so I make some pretty dense clumps and because of it we can see clearly clumps crossing each other.
How do you manage this kind of things? I was thinking about using some dynamics but I am too scare it will mess my styling especially if I need to use multiples hairFromSurface.
Thanks

Hello,

Are you generating the clumps by guides or random clumps? In cases like this, what I do si comb the guides manually to remobe the clump intersections. It is easier if the clumps are generated by guides. At the moment we don't have a procedural way to remove this type of intersections.

Hi Jeordanis,
thanks for your reply. I'm using "Clumps from guides" but also two Hair surface object to get better look except those intersections ^^

i just wanted to be sure there is no specific way to fix that thing. I was thinking maybe something that play with normals' direction but no worries I will fix it by hand Smile

You can try the Normalize Strands modifier, add it below Hair from Guides, above the guides. It should help, try reducing the amount to avoid making drastic changes to the shape of the hair.
