Materials on proxy meshes

Hi,

I am trying to create a character with a feather system using custom proxy meshes.

The material is not displaying correctly. I have tried configuring with Material IDs but nothing works.

I have added my 3DS Max file if it helps. In the material editor you will see a simple Multi Material for the leaves.

I am sure it is a setting somewhere to allow Ornatrix to recognise Material IDs but all the settings I have tested are not working.

I had an issue with version 7 - it would not create create sinks in the Ox Surface Comb modifier so I had to drop down to version 6 where it works. This makes me think it could also be another bug.

Also, how do I respond to someone who repplies to my thread? There is no reply button on the user interface. Is there email support? I can't see anywhere for email tech support.

Thanks
Ross.

Hi,

I will take a look into this. Please reupload the scene for Max 2020.

It works fine in my own scene. I used three materials with three material IDs. Here the result and the correct settings:

Regarding Surface Comb, the problem you described has been solved in the latest nightly build for V7. Give it a try.

Please have in mind that V6 is not supported anymore. The development efforts are focused on V7.

Please continue the conversation here. This is a reply to your comment from this post.

You need to try V7. There is a chance that this is an old bug that only affects V6.
