Hi,

For some reason I can not reply your responses. I have no "reply" button on my UI and I have tested the site in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. So this is a response to the message below.

I have added the file in 3DS Max version 2020 as requested. Per-Strand UVs are enabled but as you can see from my render the texture is not displaying on each individual leaf - it seems as if the texture is scaled to fit all of the leaves as there is colour variation and the opacity map is creating patches where no leaves are visible (I have no distribution map).

Thanks
Ross.

Hi,

I am still having problems getting my materials to display correctly. I have added my working file to this thread file. In my renders the material is not appying itself to each individual leaf as it should be. There is colour variation to the leaves which suggests the texture is scaled to cover the entire Ornatrix system - the opacity map on the shader acts like a distribution map and causes a patch like effects where parts of the body have no leaves visible.

Basically I want the leaf shader I have created to appear on each individual leaf and then ultimately create 10 variations of this texture and use a Multi/Sub Object material to create colour variation on all the leaves.

I am having so many problems and crashes getting this to work. I need some help. I was here a few days ago with the same issue. I seemed to have got it to work with a simple RGB colour test but now that I am using the actual texture I want to use - it's not working.

Thanks
Ross

Thanks for the scene. It seems to be a problem with the UVs. We are investing this issue and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Edit:

It works. You just need to enable UV Coordinates for the proxy:

Also works with multiple materials:

We are still investigating the reason why you are not able to post an answer on the forums.
