Is there a limitation to how many strands you can have?

I am using the demo version of Ornatrix for 3DS Max with Vray. I am hoping to create product illustrations of brooms and brushes, but I seem to have hit the limit as to how many strands I can use, which doesn't seem to be very high. I'm hoping that this is only for the demo version. I am able to create the amount that I need, but they won't render. As you can see in the attached image, the top fuzzy bristles don't appear across the entire top of the broom, even though there is geometry for them. Have I hit a limit, and will that limit go away once I buy the full version?Sample Brush with incomplete bristles

Hi,

The demo doesn't have such limitation. Is difficult to know what is causing this without looking into the scene. It could be a bug or user error. Please send us the scene if you can.

First, I would check if you are generating the hair on a polygon selection instead of the actuall mesh where you want the hair to grow. In Guides from Surface and Hair from Guides look for "Use Sub-Selection".

Check if this happens only with hairs or if it also happens with guides.

Disable every modifier after Guides from Surface and check the guide count.

Disable every modifier after Hair from Guides and check the root/hair count.

Check if you have any texture maps or strand channel set as distribution multiplier in Guides from Surface or Hair from Guides.
