Issues attaching Ornatirx groom to animated character...

I have a groom from geo that I've attached to my character with the skin wrap modifier... modifier is added above the editable poly in the stack and below all the Ornatrix ones.  I used the character body mesh as the deformer and selected face deformation as the engine.  When I rotate my character's head, the guides fly all over the place in random directions... what am I doing wrong?

Do you mean that you generated hair on a scalp and used the skin wrap 

modifier to wrap the scalp to the character head?

Is it possible to get your scene for testing?

If you are using Symmetry modifier or Surface Comb, make sure to bake them.
