moov physics does not detect wind animation changes

I have some wind in the forcefields of the moov physics modifier, I keyframe the strength, the roatation etc of the wind but moov physics keeps whavever setting the wind is on the first frame and does not change from that for the entire animation, as if it's locked on the first frame of the wind settings. could this be a bug?

Hi,

Sounds like a bug. What Max and Ornatrix version are you using?

I am using max 2024 Ornatrix 7.4.433124

Very simple to recreate, rotating wind. I tried in a simple scene and still get the same result, or lack there of.

Hey, were you able to recreate this issue?

I tested this in 8.0.12.33431 too and still not working. Does Ornatrix just not detect if a wind force is rotating?

I seems to only blow the direction it faces on the first frame and does not update dynamically

Would be nice to hear a reponse for on this. I cannot tell if it's a bug or a limitation.

Hey, sorry for the delay. I've been testing this and it first it worked, but then it stopped working after I added more keyframes to the rotation.

I'm trying to figure out what causes the issue. This is a bug for sure.

Meanwhile, try using our Wind script in Moov. It may help you achieve what you need in a simpler way. This tutorial is for Maya but you can do exactly the same on Max.

EDIT: I can reproduce it consistently. We are looking into it. Bug report 6367.

Great thank you! I am trying the script and it does work nicely, i was wondering if it's possible to change the maximum strength of the wind an turbulence, as they are not powerful enough. would i need to change the script somehow?

Thanks

The limit is very high. Try typing the value manually.

The original report is now for build 33510+. Please give it a try and let me know.

Thanks! it kind of works, it does move as the wind moves, but it doesn't quite follow the wind which makes control a little hard.
