"Hello. I am a user of 3ds Max Ornatrix version 7.4. I am having a problem creating hair. I created a female hairstyle and made basic hair strands with Ornatrix, and so far, everything was fine. However, the problem arose when I created seven splines to form a bun hairstyle for women. When creating the bun hair, I used the Ornatrix stack: ox guides from shape - ox ground strands - ox guides - ox change width, and finally, ox mesh from strands to create a proxy mesh. First, the base surface of ox ground strands is defined by seven splines, and I disabled root detached for rotation. I intended to make a more detailed bun hair by going into ox guides and selecting one of the seven to rotate. However, the rotation was not applied as expected. I tried various methods, and during the process, when I changed the base surface of ox ground strands from splines to female hair, it worked, although the position values were significantly different. However, there were times when it did not work, and I cannot understand the reason for this inconsistency. I decided to give up on this method and attempted to create groups for the hair roots using ox rotate strands. However, when I tried to assign group numbers by clicking on one root and specifying a group number, all roots changed to the same color, contrary to the expected behavior where only the selected root should change. Other hair sections, apart from the bun hair, were grouped and rotated without any issues. I noticed that the base surface for other hairs in ox ground strands is set to a female head, and I suspect that the difference in this setting might be causing the problem. If this is the case, I don't understand why there would be an error when the base surface is a spline. Please help me understand and find a solution. Thank you." |
