Ornatrix 3dsmax: Hairs going into space!!

This is a new one on me. Any ideas? A scale issue? I use the menu macro "add hair to selection" and then the hair shoots out in one direction for like a virtual mile! I've tried different unit sizes, scaled the object, doesn't seem to help. Any ideas? Attached Files:

EPHERE	Could be a scale or normals issue. Does this happen if you just create a blank scene with a sphere? Would it be possible to send me a scene which reproduces this? Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
