Hey guys, I'm trying to follow the cloth simulation workflow. Everything looks fine in max when I scrub the timeline and render out single frames. When I render out an animation using Vray the hair floats away from the deforming mesh. Very strange. See attached hair_issue.mp4 Using Max 2014, Vray 3.0 and the latest build. Any idea what could be causing this? Vray 3.0 problem? I'm going to roll vray back to 2.4 and see if that changes anything. I tried keyframing the cloth and collapsing the stack and still got the same behavior. Thanks, Dave

Can you shoot me a simple scene that reproduces this issue? We will try to get it fixed for you ASAP whether its workflow or a bug. Thanks! Michael

Thanks Michael, It was hard to simplify it so hopefully that doesn't cause an issue. http://www.coalterdigital.com/hair_issue.zip Thanks, Dave

Hello, I'm having a similar or probably the same issue here, just wanted to add it to this thread. I am using vray 3.0 and Ornatrix version 2.8 on max 2014 I also tried a few things and these are some of the issues i am facing: 1 - I have the setup created with a skin wrap, wrapping the hair mesh strands onto a deforming mesh object. 2 - On any "single frame" render, the frame renders correctly , however anything to do with a custom range or a sequence render the hair does not follow the mesh and tends to float away somehow. 3 - I cached hair the hair and turned off skinwrap, but the issue remained. Unfortunately this is coming in mid a small project :) you think there is a way around this somehow before it is fixed in the next build? I tried installing the latest beta build version 3 of Ornatrix hoping to resolve the issue but that crashed max on the scene startup, so i reverted back to 2.8 fiddling with the scene hoping to resolve it somehow just to be able to render it out. Thank you.
