How come Ephere doesn't provide demo files for various types of hair, fur, feathers etc? You guys know your plugin inside out, and some of us buying your product might need a quick start rather than getting to know the nuts and bolts of the software through lengthy tutorials etc. These serve a purpose too of course, but it really would help a lot to also being able to build upon the settings of you experts, or just being able to look at how you set things up. An even better option would be to have a bunch of presets built into the plugin itself of course. I find myself sitting for hours at an end, trying out Ornatrix with multitudes of settings and test renders, getting to know the software. It's not so fun. Feeling more like a techie than an artist to be honest. | |

Howdy, Demo files are a good idea for sure. Different users learn in different ways. We are working on some files that will show different kinds of setups right now. If you have not yet please check out our video training. We have a quickstart series that goes over many topics in a short and concise manner rather then lengthy tutorials. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpRi3ovyFM-2wLhel2eP8srgXBqfHkJ4C Thanks Michael

Hi there Are you still working on those demo setups?? Long time in the making it seems ;-) I can't think of any other software developer that does not include som sort of presets or demo files in their packages. You have a great product, but it's a bit convoluted in that you need to combine a lot of parameter trials and errors to achieve various belieavable hair types. Having you as experts pointing the way would help a great deal. Tutorials is one thing obviously, but being able to start from a preset or expert setup is really something I would expect in any parameter based software package. Still hoping we will get there with Ornatrix some day.

Howdy Thomas, We have created some demo files and are in the process of creating more. In the docs there is a Sample Files section that includes a full furry bat character that includes setups for Scanline and Vray. There are also some samples for different parting setups including parting with maps, parting subobjects, and auto parts. https://ephere.com/plugins/autodesk/max/ornatrix/docs/3/Sample_Files.html Keep an eye on the section because we have more on the way. Thanks! Michael
