we are in heavy production with Ornatrix 3.1.07 and Max 2015 but running into the issue with random popping on render when using hair clustering. I see that 3.1.08 may have addressed this issue but none of our existing set ups will load correctly in the later build, so I'm looking for any method to prevent the popping while still using 3.1.07. It doesn't happen on all of our scenes so suspecting a possible combination of modifiers may be the culprit
This issue was indeed addressed in the next build. What is the problem with loading the scene in that build? Have you tried the latest V3 build as well (3.3)?
Thanks for for the quick reply. When I get to the office in a few hours I'll find out exactly which builds we tried. When we load a scene created in older builds the hair style is destroyed (scrambled) and has to be redone. This is why we have not been able to upgrade until all our current production wraps. For now we have to simply turn clustering off or way down when it happens which is a bummer. I'd love to know why some set ups exhibit the issue and others don't. Then maybe we can work around it better until we are able to roll out the latest version.
