The dynamics doesn't seem to work properly for real-world gravity values.

Even with the Lowest density and highest spring-value, it still falls to the ground (With system units of Centimeters).

The heading "Spring (Flexibility)" is odd because the higher the value, the less flexibile it is and so should really be "Spring (Stiffness)"

This is using

PhysX Plug-in Version 3.3.10510.21132

With Physx 2.8.5 enabled

Hi Simon

What version of Ornatrix are you using?

Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)

Ornatrix Version: 5.07.9756
I have since updated the Physx plugin, but it is set to 2.8.5 with the same results.

Do you mean Lucid Physics? To be honest I don-t understant very well what you are trying to do or what you are using exactly. Can you please give me more information?

MassFX was developed by Nvidia. Autodesk doesn't release updated versions of MassFX to its existing customers. However, this isn't a problem as Nvidia, the people that developed MassFX, produce a plugin for 3ds max called PhysX. PhysX is identical to MassFX, but will differ because it will always be more up to date.

With the system-unit-scale set as centimeters,
I create a sphere with a radius of 100mm.
I move that sphere up by an arbitrary value to clear what will be the ground-plane in the physics simulation.
I then, using Ornatrix version 5.0.7.9756, apply "Quick Hair" to that sphere. "Fur Ball".
I then select "Ox Edit Guides" in the modifier-stack and then apply a "Dynamics Modifier".
Then, on the MassFX/Physx toolbar, I press play. The hair falls down without retaining its shape.
I "Reset the simulation", increase the "Spring" value to maximum and press play. Again, no observable change is to be seen.
Decreasing the density to the lowest setting, whilst the Spring is at a maximum, does yeild a small change, but nothing usable.

physX plugin is incompatible with m-particles and has been removed, but the problem still occurs with regular massFX

Thank you for your explanation. You are correct, the Spring value does not seems to be working properly. I'm reporting this to the devs and hopefully we'll have a fix soon. Thank you for the report.
