Hey guys, just wanting to bake the hair dynamics. This is using a sphere, for testing, which moves around and small amount of hair on. Preview is very fast to update etc. When trying to 'Bake Selected' it is about 1 frame per minute :o ... Is it reccomended to just use the Max Cloth approach as that updates sooo much faster. No doubt will hit an issue with max cloth with it being tempremental :) Ox4 Max 2017 Thanks

Howdy.. There should not be such a difference in playback and baking. Can you post the simples scene? I will have a look. Thanks Michael

Hi Michael Link to a very very simple scene. The sphere is animated using a position noise and then hair on top. The preview is very fast, when baking its about 1 frame a minute.. Hoping I am just doing something wrong :) https://www.dropbox.com/s/w2x9fedp3cxd3rf/Slow_baking_MassFX_Flipbook_.max?dl=0 Thanks for looking.

Using that scene also, I am following the basic dynamics tutorial part 1. The global controls in the dynamics properties dont really seem to do anything. Just wanting to keep it styled (more rigid) as below the dynamics modifier but no matter what values are punched in it just flops straight down. This is when playing with the Global spring/swing limits. *changed scene units to meters and get better results with regards to the spring/swing. Is there a way to change the simulation scale? *Looks like its faster with less root count on the base, so it cant really handle say 300 count?
FYI I am using an i7 3930k @4.2ghz, GTX 670 and a dual xeon @ 2.1ghz, GTX 780ti on another workstation.
