Hi everyone !

I exported some curves out of Zbrush inported into Max, and converted it into edit splines.

- "ox guide from shape" to convert spline to hair guides
- "ox ground strands" based on a scalp
- "ox hair from guides" on Guides as hair Distribution and a render/view count 1000 but i have just 20 splines as guides and i want to create a sort of interpolation where the hair will follow guides direction..
but i only have 20 hair at the end in my render like in the viewport...

Is there a way to create more hair based on just few splines direction ??

Thank you.

Hi Batou,

You can interpolate hairs using only 20 guides or even less. You are getting only 20 hairs in render because in your third step you are selecting Guides As hairs for Distribution type, so 20 guides = 20 Hairs. To create more hairs you have to use another distribution type in MeshFromStrands like Random Area, Uniform, UV Distribution or whatever feed your needs, then in the Guide Interpolation roll out find the better convination of Interpolation and Guide Count. I hope this helps.

Hi !

Thank you for your great reply !
it works now with Random area based you solve my problem :)

I've just another question not really related to ornatrix but if somone can answer to it.

In Zbrush i ve created many subtools of fibermesh but if I want to export curves of all subtools i cant, i can just do it one by one in fibermesh section/ export curves.
Is there a way to export all curves at once ??

Sorry for my bad english ...

In zBrush you can merge all the fibermesh subtools into one and then export.

Thank you again I find the merge visible option, who create a single subtool and then we can export it in curves !

Thank you a lot !

You're welcome, Batou!
