Dynamics maintaining volume

In the long hair animation,
I would like to gradually apply dynamics to only the tip of the strand. (I want to maintain hair volume)

OxDynamics Spring graph adjustment is very difficult.
Can I control the intensity applying dynamics with a gradation map?

any other solution?

anybody here? No solution?

Is there a way to apply MassFX dynamics in combination with soft selection?

or, I want Ornatrix own dynamics.

Thanx

Hi,

It's strange, I already replied to this post but I see my reply is not here, sorry, I had the same problem with another post, we are going to look into this.

To maintain the volume of the hair in the simulation play with the Damping parameter, if you use really high values you will have less movement in the hair, you should also add more damping to the roots. Play with the graph of Global Scale, reduce the scale at the root just a bit, is a matter of experimentation. You can control all sections of the simulation using maps or guide channels. For example, use a per-vertex guide channel painted in OxEditGuides to control several parameters in OxDynamics, you can paint only the roots or the tips of the guide to isolate or reduce the effect of certain parameters.

Painting Per-Vertex Channel:

Assigning the channel to a parameter:

You can find more about guide channels in the following link:

hello, Jeordanis

Thanks for the advice.

However, The Vertex Channel assignment is not useful in Dynamics.

For example, is there a way to keep volumes with objects moving faster like the sample scene below?  also want to avoid burying in the collision surface.

Hi,

Did you tried my other suggestions from my last post?

There is hair flickering in the simultion or your scene, I will take a look into that.
