Hi, was wondering why RTT is rendering red instead of alpha. Also why points per strand messes up the hair when using cylindrical mesh generation, see attached. Thanks Attached Files: |
Hi, What is RTT? For the other issue, try using the Per-Strand UVs option. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)
Hi, Thanks for the answer for points per strand. RTT is render to texture.
Hello, The red is from ray misses in RTT. This is to be expected as the hair does not take up all the space on the plane. You can uncheck this option in Projection Options under Ray Miss Check. Hope that helps Thanks Michael
Hi mike, I followed your baking ornatrix hair tutorial to the T but I cant get it to render. It just renders black, I attached the scene if you have time to look at it. Also, I still get that crimped look with the hair when I use the cylindrical mesh generation even after messing around with the Per-Strand UVs option
Hi, For the "crimped look", try turning ON the Tangent Normals option. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.)
Hi Jeordanis, Actually I dont want that crimped look. Sorry if I wasnt clear, also if you have time , could you take a look at my max file and let me know what I did wrong? Thanks.
Hi Jeordanis, yeah , hey that worked....Thankyou!
Hi, This baked texture looks nothing like the Ornatrix hair. Render to texture complete map size is 1024 x 1024. Not sure how to fix this. Any help is appreciated. Attached Files:
