Vray NEXT and ornatrix velocity pass

Hi guys,

My fur render with VRayOrnatrixMod gave me a plain grey velocity render element output. I am using 3ds max 2018.4, Vray NEXT and Ornatrix version 5.2.9.14713.

I found an old thread with the same issue

Is it a Vray issue again? Just wanna make sure as i have only been using ornatrix for month.

Can you please see if you experience the same problem in V6?

Hi, i installed Ornatrix 6.0.14.16701. 

I still didn't get any info on my velocity render pass.

However i noticed something when i played with the new OX Moov Physic modifier, i managed to get some colors in the fur velocity pass. But it seems to only work when the Moov Physic modifier is turn on. 

Did i miss anything..? This new test scene is just a furball moving around.

Can u guys solve this velocity issue for Ornatrix version 5 as well?

Btw, how do i cache the fur simulation with the Moov Physic modifier? It keep resetting itself.

Hi,

You can cache the simulation using the Ox Strand Animation modifier on top of Moov Physics modifier, click the Record Active Time Range button.

Thanks for the help. I didn't realise there is a new record option added to Ox Strand Animation modifier.

 

Just for your info, while i was testing the beta Ornatrix v6, i noticed the fur look of my previous groomed character from v5 look different when opened.

The Ox Strand Length modifier in v6 doesn't seems to work like v5.

 

Hope this issue together with the velocity pass problem will be fixed soon.
