Thank you for the report. This is similar to the force field approach to hair styling which the very original Ornatrix back in 2003 used to have. But attractor points are more intuitive than creating localized force fields. I suppose it'd have to be a separate modifier which would also allow specifying groups of hairs and localize them to each point. It also sounds similar to surface comb modifier, but in 3d instead of just being on the surface.
