Description: | The Smooth Brush as it is now hardly seems to do anything. It will take care of only the most egregious kinks, but will not smooth the hair strands overall to give a graceful flow. I'm thinking of a function that is similar to the controls in Maya nHair. In fact, a lot of their controls are very nice! |

Thank you for the request. Can you please define what you mean by "dynamic" here? Do you mean something which uses physical simulation? Do you know of any good example videos for nHair smooth brush? Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) | ||

Ha ha! Yes, let's define our terms. :) I don't actually mean "dynamic" in the physical simulation kind of way. It's more in the colloquial sense, meaning "more varied ability". Right now the Smooth brush only seems to take care of a few of the really harsh kinks, and you have to click and click and click for anything to happen. What if it were set up to smooth the hairs by following the general curve of the hair flow when brushed along their length? It could remove tangled hairs and provide a sweeping flow to the hairs in the affected radius. In Maya nHair when this tool is applied repeatedly, the hair curves become straighter and straighter.
