I have some mesh strip based hairs that, when have mesh strips applied, have nearly each strip oriented in random directions. Particularly fuzzy short hair is a problem.

It's several hours of work to rotate hundreds of strips. The standard options are not helpful.

Meanwhile, the strips are often well-ordered in the UV map, so it would make perfect sense to get the strip direction from the UV map, and I believe then that the strip orientation could then be set with just one mouse click.

An option to use the UV map in the up, down, left or right directions instead of using 3D space would be perfect.
