When you start up Zookeeper if a dialog appears asking for an IP address for the license server and displaying the default value of '127.0.0.1' it means that Zookeeper cannot find or connect to the license server.
License server is installed during online and offline installation and should be present in the windows Services manager. Please try the following:
- Go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services
- Find a service named 'Ephere License Server'
- If the service is stopped try starting it
- If the service started succesfully please try running Zookeeper again. If you are still having problems please let us know.
- If service tried starting but failed or gave an error message please report the error to us. If there was no error message please look in Event Viewer under Administrative Tools to see if any errors were reported and contact us with the result.
- If the service is running please try disabling any firewalls on your local system. Antiviruses can also interfere with local network traffic so please try disabling those as well. If nothing helps please let us know.
- If there is no such service please try to reinstall Zookeeper to ensure that it is properly installed
Note that if you are using a network license server configuration you might need to repeat the above steps on the license server computer. Also you will need to enter the correct local IP address of the license server instead of the default '127.0.0.1'
