Creating new nodes:

There are multiple ways of creating object nodes inside schematic views:

  1. Dragging and dropping an existing node from another schematic view, tree view, or a custom palette category
  2. Dragging and dropping a new node from inside a palette by selecting node type from a sub-category
  3. Using the 'Create' option in the schematic right-click menu
  4. Using the right-click menu search option to create a new node

Dragging out sub-nodes/inputs:

Each schematic node has a collection of properties that are represented through other nodes linked to a parent node. These nodes are referred to as that parent's input nodes and are displayed as circles inside the input connection fields. To the right of the circle is the name of each input node and any additional controls that can be used to modify the inputs parameter value.

By 'dragging out' a circle denoting an input node you can create a sub-node for that input.

Removing sub-nodes from the view:

To delete one or more sub-nodes from the view you need to select these nodes through a rectangular selection or one by one and then use the delete button to remove them from the view. These nodes can be dragged out again later on. The remove operation can be also undone.

Renaming nodes:

To rename a single node double click its name. The name textbox will appear and you can enter the new name into it. Press enter to finish renaming the node and object associated with it.
