Zookeeper provides a limited support for built-in 3d Studio Max boolean objects. It is possible to create and manage boolean objects completely inside Zookeeper, however, for the best results a combination of viewport and Zookeeper control is ideal.
Here we will create a new basic boolean compound object using two spheres. The result will be one sphere subtracted from another. Please follow these steps:
- Create two intersecting spheres inside 3dsmax viewport. You can also create them in Zookeeper by dragging from the palette.
- Select both spheres and use "Add to a new schematic view" option from main Zookeeper menu to add the spheres into a blank view.
- Drag out the bigger sphere's object input and click on the resulting wire.
- Select "Make operand of a new pro-boolean object" to create the boolean operator.
- Drag the second sphere's output into the operand B slot of the boolean object.
