at the moment i have a question about the order of the state sets..ok it is written, that the order is from top to buttom...

but now the question: if i'm making for example six states..is zookeeper going from one state to another one or does zookeeper goes for every state to the first and than make the changes for the state i'm recording..

example..i have a beauty state and than i'm doing a state for ao, with overwriting the material..the third state should be a state for masks..can i create the third state from the end of the second or should i do it like i do it now: load the beauty state, create a new state (the third) and make all changes on base of the first (beauty) state..

thanks for your answers and ideas...

Hello Mtea,

Yes Zookeeper goes back to the base state (no state) and then applies the which ever one is clicked. That being said you can nest them in a hierarchy. So If you want a change based on another state for its starting point, you can make that one change and then drag it into the hierarchy of the other one.

I hope that makes since. I think I'll make a nested states video soon :)

Thanks

it is absolutly clear for me what you said..thanks for that reply..and i will wait for the video of nested states..

so now next question about it..for large scene it need hours of time to set all state.. so is it possible to built states in stepf..for example make an overwrite on the scene than safe, than make mask on several object, than save again?

Hi Hannes,

Yes you can build your states in steps. You can rerecord states and make states to overwrite others too. Lastly you can make some of these states templates that you might use all the time. Lets say a MR material override state. You can save that as a template and then just pick it from a list when you want to use it in a scene.

Thanks

Michael McCarthy

how can i create a template...after right click there is create template but nothing happens...
