Hello Cecofuli, Obj's don't tend to have layer information. If max can recognize the layers then we should be able to as well. Do you see the layers form our obj in 3ds max's layer manager? Thanks Michael McCarthy

Hi Cecofuli, What happens if you right click on the "Layers" icon and choose refresh? Thanks

Nothing :( But with that, we solve the Maxstart problem. One of the two layer zero is gone. But every time I launch max, I see two layer 0

Hi, I've also experienced this when importing a grouped object from another Max file. The objects were visible among the other objects in the objects list but not in the layer list. The layer was gone. Even after selecting "refresh" and "reset and refresh child layout" and even after "reset layot". No new layer (that should be named Ford in my case) is presented. Se screen-cap below. /Jona Törnros

Hello Jona, Was the layer present in 3ds max's layer manager? That info might help us identify any issue. Thanks Michael McCarthy

This is partially patched in next build (1.8.0). The layers will still not be auto-added, however, if you do right click-refresh on the base group it'll now show the merged in layers. This is a temporary work around and I hope to have it auto-synchronizing layers in the future, it'll just require a more core fix. Marsel Khadiyev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.) |
