Rotation Axis

I would have posted this in the Feature Request section of the forum, but there isn't a "Start New Thread" button on that page yet.

I'm quite new to Ornatrix and am enjoying the ease of use thus far. One thing I'm having difficulty with, however, is rotating around the limbs of the character I'm adding fur to. Ideally I would rotate around each individual limb as I work, but I've been unable to temporarily reorient the pivot with the options available within UE5 editor. If you could add a "rotate around click" function to the plugin it'd be great (unless it's already there and I just haven't figured it out yet? I wasn't able to search within the documentation). Thanks!

We will fix this. Thanks for reporting it.

I'm not sure if I understand the issue. What are you trying to rotate? The strands? The whole hair object?

I will try to explain more specifically. I am painting strands on my character's fingers only. I need to rotate the viewport camera around each individual finger in order to see where I'm painting. The camera rotates around the character's central pivot axis, which makes viewing the sides/underside/tips of the fingers cumbersome. I would like to move the pivot to the fingers, but the UE editor's options for doing so ("Set Pivot Offset Here") aren't working. Thanks.

You want to rotate the viewport camera around the strands that you are painting?

That would work. Is it currently possible? tx

If you select a hair object or a hair strand and press F, the camera rotation will focus around that element.
