Ornatrix Hair not Attaching to Mesh

I've selected my character that has animation in it in my level sequencer. Once I play it, the hair is there by itself and isn't attached to the mesh. How can I make sure the hair/fur is attached?

I need more information. How are you attaching the hair to the character? Are you using Ground Strands or generating the hair directly on the character? How are you generating the hair exactly?

Have in mind that only sketal meshes are supported. Meshes with alembic animation baked in are not supported yet.

Hello,

I am just directly adding the fur ball on my entire character directly. I selected the character and then add groom.

My mesh doesn't have any baked animation. It's an fbx that I imported and the animation is added seperately in the sequencer.

Does the fbx have the mesh divided in different components but merged as a single object?

Just to confirm, try re-grounding the hair to the mesh using ground strands modifier. select a mesh and click attach.

When I import it in Maya, every part of the body is seperate in the Outliner, however in Ue5, it just comes in as one skeletal Mesh.

I am unaware of how to use the Ground strands, I added the modifier but I'm not sure where is the option in it to attach it to a mesh.

That means that in UE the fbx file was loaded as a merged single object but each object component have a unique ID. In Ornatrix, Guides from Mesh, specify which object IDs the hair will be growing from.
