Title:Console error on moov physics
Category:Crash/Critical
Status:Fixed

Problem

Description:

If I simply add a moove physics object, I get a console error in Cinema which ist sticky then :

Ornatrix Error: python file F:\Maxon Betatest\R20 Beta\R20_Plugins\Ornatrix\scripts\Moov\HairSimulator.py read error

Unfortunately if I try to read a manual about moove here, I get a document not found error from the browser, so no idea how it should be used, if it needs another modifier before or something like that.

Using nightly build from today.

Steps to Reproduce:

You don't need anything special for Moov, just adding it to a new Furball should work.

Do you have the file "F:\Maxon Betatest\R20 Beta\R20_Plugins\Ornatrix\scripts\Moov\HairSimulator.py", does it have meaningful contents (some Python script)?

It looks like you install the plugin manually, maybe you didn't put some files in the expected places (or the code can't handle non-standard plugin locations).

good point. Indeed after first installation with installer I´m always replacing the plugin folder manually. And the scrips folder has been installed not to plugins but to c:/ Program data /ephere/ornatrixc4d/scrips/moov.

Though ornatrix finds the grooms which are installed same place, it doesn´t find the scripts folder. I made a copy of that to plugin folder and now moov is working.

Nevertheless if you try to get to the docs from here :

https://ephere.com/plugins/maxon/c4d/ornatrix/docs/1/  , moov page is not found.

thanks for your help

Hi Lothar,

The Moov documentation page is being updated. Please wait until we document all the parameters and settings.
