| The problem is solved, you need to switch the language of Windows to English |
| Windows language should not affect the behavior of the license server. We will investigate this. Thank you for reporting. Jeordanis Figuereo (Product Designer. EPHERE Inc.) |
| Hello, I have just seen this same error upon installation of Ornatrix on Maya 2022 to test the latest stable build. When I try to run the downloaded license file I get this same error and cannot get past it. I also have firewall and antivirus disabled. I also can see my computer in the licenses list but it is not assigned to any versions of Ornatrix. Here is a snapshot. Any help would be great thank you. Attached Files: |

| I am attempting to connect to the license server and I am stuck here within Maya trying to load the plug-in. This is where I get stuck. Did I miss a step? Attached Files: |
| Sorry to backup a bit. I did a fresh install of Maya 2022, and I also have Maya 2020 loaded with Ornatrix as well. So now I have downloaded the installer, but it comes down as a crdownload, and I have to rename it to .msi--which I think you guys said I should not do, but I do not know a way around this. I have also downloaded the license installer and ran that and that's where I get the 'error code 1' in command line. Is this an instance where I need to install a License Server? Or do I need to uninstall the 2020 version for the 2022 to work? |
| "crdownload" in the name of the file means that Chrome hasn't finished downloadng the file, it's is not complete yet and is unusable. If your machine behaves strangely, it may help if you reboot it. But if your network connection has problems, that might not help. When you run the Ornatrix .msi installer, it must keep its original name (with all the digits), otherwise you'll get that "Can't find user info" error. A license for Ornatrix covers all Maya releases. Please look in C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local for a file called EphereLicensingLog.txt and attach it here. | Hello Ivan, Thank you for responding. Is it possible to download the msi from another machine and copy it over? My PC is still downloading as a crdownload and I am using microsoft edge as my browser. Also I found the file you asked and have attached here. |
| Ivan, I was able to copy the msi installer from my mac to my pc along with the license file, and it worked!!! I just had to uninstall my previous version of Maya 2020 with that version of Ornatrix on my machine. I then used the new msi installer to uninstall any old files from ornatrix that existed on my machine. I am now able to test your latest stable version of 2022 with Maya. thank you for all your help--please mark this issue 'closed'- Have a great day. |
| Hello, I have the same problem with licensing I use C4D and when I click on Install license, this error appears: Process returned exit code 1 |
| Please do the same as requested above: Please look in C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local for a file called EphereLicensingLog.txt and attach it here. In the log file attached by the other user there was an error accessing the license server executable file. This usually means you need to reboot the machine and maybe stop the Ephere License Server service, as it's been locked by some process. Ivan Kolev (Software Developer, EPHERE Inc.)
