Problem

Description:

As mentioned before, I have been building groom with custom planted hair guides and I keep running into some pretty major issues.  I have been building the groom on Mac and then rendering it on a PC using Redshift.  It appears that all the brushing data used to shape the guides on a Mac are completely ignored on the PC.  I can close and reopen my file on the Mac and it looks perfect.  As soon as I open it on a PC all the brush transformations are ignored and all that is kept data wise is the number of guides and it's native curve shape at the time of creation.

Check out the screenshots I attached for the disparity between the Windows version and the Mac OSX version of the exact same file.

Hi,

I can reproduce this bug and create a support ticket for it. The team will be working on this asap, I will keep you posted. Thank you.

Thanks for the response and confirming I am not crazy.  Any word on a fix for this?  It's kind a bummer not being able to render the scene on my PC.

Hi, I saw the new build and tried it out.  I noticed this bug is still a problem.  Is there any progress on finding the cause/fix for this problem?

Hi,

This issue was solved on build 20229. I just tried planting some guides on a model in Windows, then loaded the same scene on Mac, all guides are where they should be. Try updating Ox on Mac, then save the scene again with the new version installed and load it on Windows.

Notice that we couldn't make previous version Mac/Linux scenes look the same on Windows. We could only make old Windows scenes look the same on Mac/Linux, when loaded into the latest version.

But you may try to re-save your old scene on the Mac with the latest Ox build, then see if it will look the same when loaded on Windows (again with the latest build).

Thanks for the heads up.  I reloaded the original scene on the Mac and saved out a new file and that then opened correctly in Windows. So it does seem to work now.

Thanks!
